BYG obtains the ISO 45001 certification

Since 19 October, BYG has been ISO 45001:2018 certified for the design, marketing and distribution of elements for first equipment for public works and mining machinery.

What is the ISO 45001?

ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, aimed at protecting workers and visitors from occupational accidents and illnesses. ISO 45001 certification was developed to mitigate any factors that may cause irreparable harm to employees or the business. The standard is the result of the efforts of a committee of occupational safety and health experts who sought to approach other management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

With a particular focus on management, ISO 45001 ultimately aims to help businesses provide a safe working environment for employees and anyone else in the workplace. This can be achieved by controlling factors that can potentially cause injury, illness, and in extreme cases, death. As a result, ISO 45001 focuses on mitigating any factors that are harmful or pose a risk to the physical and mental well-being of workers.
